There will be times when we just don’t feel like doing the work we once wanted to do. We’re not inspired, and it would be very easy to spend our time on other things.
This morning, for example, I didn’t really feel like sitting down to write. However, I also knew that if this is something I want to be doing over the long haul, then doing so on a daily basis, even when I don’t feel like it, is the path I must take.
Waiting until ‘I feel like it’ may work for matters of little importance. But when it comes to areas that are significant–areas that I say I want to grow in–persistence is far more important than inspiration.
