Perspective is invaluable. With it, we can navigate the most difficult of times; without it, even the most insignificant event can ruin our day.
In life, there are so many things that we have no control over. But, if we lose our perspective, we can begin living in anxiety over those things we cannot change; we can wallow in self-pity over the unfairness of life; or we can start taking credit for those things that we did not control.
When we live out of fear, or self-pity, or pride, we’re no longer seeing clearly–we’ve lost a proper perspective. And if we cannot see clearly, how will we be able to respond appropriately to the events of today?
