When we reject truth or wisdom or beauty or love, we’re the ones who ultimately suffer.

The challenge is that sometimes it’s not obvious when they’re in front of us, because they come to us in forms and through means that we do not expect. They can challenge our mindset and push us to act or think differently then we would otherwise.

And because they don’t arrive in the shape and manner we anticipate, we brush them off. But in so doing, we’re the ones who incur the greater loss.
