My legacy in the future will not be about the amount of money I accrue, or the number of awards I win, or the fame I achieve. Rather, it will consist of the lives I impact.

At funerals, people don’t focus on how much money someone had, or how many awards they won, but they will talk about how generous they were, how they made them feel, the example they set, or the inspiration they provided. And this effect that someone has on others has the potential to change how they in turn relate to those around them.

Ultimately, it’s not just about what you achieve or where you end up, but the lives you touch along the way.
