“Not possible” is very different from “not easy.”  Sometimes, though, when we say something isn’t possible, what we really mean is that it wouldn’t be easy.

But not being easy doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done. It just means that we’ll need to take a hard look at whether it would be worth the additional time and energy, and possible pain.

Realizing that something may be possible but not easy, allows the conversation to move from “Can we do this?” to “Should we do this?”— which is the primary question we should be asking anyway.
