Just as we represent the groups and ideas that we affiliate with to the broader world, the groups we’re a part of will also represent us.
Regardless of our specific role, if the group has a good reputation and is known for quality work, that can positively affect other people’s perception of us. But the inverse is also true.
So if this is the case, it provides incentive to not only do our individual job well, but to go above and beyond, doing what we can to ensure that what the team does as a whole is worth being associated with. Because in the end, we will be.
