“With the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” —Jesus
What would it look like if we believed that the way we treat others today would actually affect the way we are treated tomorrow?
It’s honorable to do something for it’s own sake—because it’s the “right” thing to—but depending on the situation, feeling motivated to do so can sometimes be difficult. But if we really believe that what we do now has a direct correlation with how we will be treated in the future, the motivation to do the “right” thing can be much more tangible.
Of course, in the end, this is all hinges on whether we believe our actions today will actually affect what we experience down the road. And a good way to find out what we truly believe about this is to simply watch what we decide to do.
