Regardless of how much we know, or how far we’ve come, there’s always an opportunity to keep growing. The question is, are we going to actively seek out others to learn from, or will we be content with where we’re at? Doing this, though, takes a dose of humility, because it signifies that we still have things to learn.
For some people, this isn’t an issue—the more they learn, the more they realize they have much to learn. But for some, especially as others begin to look to them as experts, the temptation is to lose the sense of being a student. And in doing so, they lose the posture that helped them grow in the first place.
There will always be opportunities to learn. The question is, will we even see the need to do so?
