Although the way we feel can affect our actions, it’s also possible for it to work the other way around—our actions can affect the way we feel.
Even if I don’t feel like doing something, sometimes it’s the act of actually going ahead and doing it that triggers a change in how I feel. For instance, if I’m not in a good mood and don’t feel like being nice, I can still choose to smile and be kind to people, and in time, I may actually start feeling differently.
Since our moods and emotions are in constant flux, it valuable to realize that they can be impacted by our choices. Regardless of how I feel in the moment, I can still choose my actions. And sometimes those very actions are the things that will end up changing the way I feel.
