Although anger is appropriate at times, allowing it to shape what we do and say can be disastrous.
Have you ever said something when you were mad that you later regretted? Have you ever fired off an email while you were upset, and then later wish you could retract what you said?
Anger has the potential to drive us to action, but in the rush to act, we can easily do so in ways that are not prudent. And in the end, we end up doing or saying things we later regret.
There are times to be angry. We just can’t let it take control, because the fruit of doing so is often more bitter than we’d prefer.
