There’s an old proverb that asks, When’s the best time to plant a tree? The answer: twenty years ago.
And what’s the second best time? The answer: today.
There will be times when we look back and wish we had started sooner. And although doing so would have been ideal, if that’s not what happened, we are left with the decision of what we’re going to do now. Will we let the missteps or hesitations of the past paralyze us in the present? Or will we go ahead and get started, knowing that starting late is better than not starting at all?
Because if we’re going to have to start at some point, we might as well do so today.
