“Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you.” —Annie Dillard
There’s a paradox in life that often the things we try hardest to hold onto are the things we end up losing. And the things we hold onto lightly—the things we choose to give away—are the very things we come to find.
We each have the choice to hoard or to be generous—to clench our fists or to open them wide. And although it seems like the more we give away, the less we would have, the opposite is true.
Those who’ve experienced life to the full are not those who held on tightly to everything they found. Rather, they were those who generously gave to the world around.
