“We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.” —Jim Rohn

The aspiring athlete can either pay the price of intense training today in order to compete at his peak in the future. Or he can avoid the pain that comes with training, and have to deal with the regret that comes with never achieving his full potential.

We each have the same decision. Will we undergo the discomfort of self-discipline so we can become the person we want to be, and accomplish the things we want to accomplish? Or will we avoid the discomfort of self-discipline, only to set ourselves up for regret down the road.

Some pain in life we don’t get a choice in. In this case, we do.
